Resin

Put resin on some abstract work today. Adding resin gives the paintings an amazing effect. Super shiny and dimension but its kinda scary that it turns out ok. I hope they cure hard and aren't sticky.

Started these small abstracts today. Playing with color and how they relate. Using different materials together.. Wood stain, acrylic paint, latex paint, resin.

Canal Burano in Italy
24"x30" Colorful painting. I had a great time painting this. I love the bright colors in the reflection in the water. This is the first in a series of paintings of canals in Italy.

Cigar and Brandy

20"x24" Brandy and Cigar. The good life.
I have never smoked a cigar. Not sure I would like it but it seems that it goes with Brandy. Hmmm now that I think about it I'm not sure I've ever had Brandy either. I'm more of a margarita drinker myself. I'm working on a champagne painting now. I will post it as soon as it's done. Take time to enjoy life.

Loved spilled out
