Cigar and Brandy

20"x24" Brandy and Cigar. The good life.
I have never smoked a cigar. Not sure I would like it but it seems that it goes with Brandy. Hmmm now that I think about it I'm not sure I've ever had Brandy either. I'm more of a margarita drinker myself. I'm working on a champagne painting now. I will post it as soon as it's done. Take time to enjoy life.

Studio work

Working in my studio today. Finished 2 small 12x12 beach paintings today. Hung some paintings up and moved some things around. I have a show at Artoberfest in Galveston this weekend. Deciding what to take for my booth. Hmmm not sure yet.

Mixed Moments

24"x24" mixed moments. A new painting in my wine series.
I'm using plaster and acrylic paint a lot lately. I love the 3D texture and effect it gives.
Hope you like it too. :)

Moving into a larger studio space this weekend.

I'm very excited to be moving into a larger studio space soon. It's in the same building but a larger space. I'll post pics as soon as I'm all moved in. I've been painting larger pieces and have outgrown my current space. I was tripping over things constantly.
I saw the Winnie the Pooh Movie last week. It was surprisingly good. :) I also had a chance to visit the Dali Museum in Florida. I'm pretty convinced now that we are celebrating the works of a madman. He seemed insane. He even had a quote that said "The difference between me and a madman is that I'm not mad". Seems right to me. His art is amazing and well thought out but there's a section on his life. Photography of him and it's totally crazy time.
I can't wait to get moved in and back to painting. I want to paint more minis for Christmas ornaments and I have an idea for another larger piece involving resin and glazes.
